Middle school is a transition from elementary to high school. As students enter young adulthood, they academically, physically and emotionally need meaningful and beneficial opportunities to prepare them for real world applications and to become active citizens in our society. Winterfield provides foundational skills needed to be successful high school and higher-education students. Our middle-schoolers are provided with numerous opportunities to become positive leaders through a competitive and challenging academic program which highlights solid standard-based learning from the guidance of our highly qualified teachers.
We offer a selection of extra-curricular activities specifically geared toward adolescents’ interests and talents, including, but not limited to National Junior Honor Society for 7th and 8th graders who show leadership, volunteerism, academic rigor and success. Students also have the opportunity to be actively involved in leading our school-wide, nationally affiliated student government. Our sports program includes: girls and boys basketball, co-ed intramural basketball, girls volleyball and cheerleading programs.
