Kindergarten is a transition from home to formal educational training and development. It is designed to teach students basic skills through traditional teaching methods, creative play and social interaction. Children usually attend kindergarten to learn to communicate, play and interact with others. Teachers use various manipulative activities and materials to motivate students to learn: Reading, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Computer Technology, Music, Art and Social Behaviors.
Winterfield Venture Academy offers full-day kindergarten; 8:15 a.m.-3:15 p.m. We have four kindergarten classrooms with approximately 20-22 students per room. Students have everyday opportunities to be actively engaged while receiving standard-based instruction. All teachers are highly qualified in their field and provide genuine care for the academic and social development of each of their students.
